Hello Bowler,

Fund Raiser Candlelight!
On January 31, 2026 Suburban Windy City will be hosting a Candlelight Bowl at Elgin Lanes.  The event will benefit Team Charlie an organization formed by Matt and Leigh Sims when their son Charlie was diagnosed with Batten Disease at age 6.  Batten Disease is a fatal, ultra-rare progressive, neurodegenerative condition.  Team Charlie is very active supporting rare disease awareness and funding.  The money raised by Team Charlie has funded N-of-1 at Rush University Medical Center dedicated exclusively to the advancement of treatments for children with rare diseases.

Tom and Kim Sims (former owners of Fox Bowl) are Charlie’s grandparents and have been part of the SWC family for many years.  When we found out about Charlie we wanted to help.  Suburban Windy City is a not for profit organization designated 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service so donations to us are tax deductible.  Charlie is now 9 and has almost total vision loss and can no longer walk or feed himself.

Tickets for the Candlelight Bowl are $50 per person which includes 3 games of bowling, shoe rental and dinner catered by Moretti’s Restaurant.  Check in will begin at 6:00 P.M. with dinner being served at 6:30 P.M. with bowling following.  If anyone would like to donate a door or raffle prize please contact the office at 847-741-7120 and we will arrange to have it picked up.  If anyone would like to make a cash donation make checks payable to Suburban Windy City USBC, 545 Illini Dr., Carol Stream 60188.  Please indicate Team Charlie in the memo line.

Please call the office to purchase tickets at the number above, or click here for tickets and thank you so much for helping us.
